• 8oz package of whole FunGuy white button mushrooms
  • ½ pound ground beef
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ¼ cup chopped bell pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • pinch salt
  • fresh ground pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns

Oh Joe, we don’t know who you are or where you came from, but boy are we happy you were sloppy enough to make a sandwich. A sandwich so loved for it’s messy, lightly sweet tomato infused filling that even the pickiest of kids love it, not to mention all the FunGuys do too!

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Gently brush off any dirt or debris from the FunGuy mushrooms with a damp cloth. Trim the ends with a knife. Chop the mushrooms on the cutting board and set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add in the ground beef. Break up the meat with a wooden spoon and allow to brown, stirring occasionally so it doesn’t stick. Toss in the chopped mushrooms, onion and bell pepper and saute until tender.
  3. Once everything is tender, stir in the garlic powder, ketchup and brown sugar; mix well. Reduce heat to medium low and allow to simmer about 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper 5 minutes before done.
  4. Serve on top of hamburger buns with either a healthy side salad or some yummy French fries!

Have a Fun Sloppy meal!
