• Ingredients:
  • 8oz package of whole FunGuy white button mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ head of white cabbage, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 5-6 walnuts, roughly chopped
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Do date night at home this week by making a fabulous dinner for two. It’s an easy, tasty way to not break the bank when you whip up some puff pastries filled with FunGuy mushrooms, crunchy walnuts with a bite of buttery cabbage.

It tastes as good as it looks!

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Brush off any debris from the FunGuy mushrooms with a damp cloth. Trim the ends of each mushroom stem and discard. Cut each of the mushrooms into quarters.
  3. Heat olive oil in a nonstick pan over medium high heat. Toss in the onions and sauté until transparent. Add in the cabbage and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Add in the mushrooms and walnuts and cook an additional 5-6 minutes. Season with salt and remove from heat.
  4. Lay the puff out on a parchment lined baking sheet. Cut 4 large circles about 4 inches in diameter. Spoon the mushroom and cabbage filling into the center of 2 of the circles. Lay the other circles on top and pinch the edges together around the outside, being careful to press out any air.
  5. Brush the top of the pastries with the melted butter and with the tip of a knife, poke 4 holes in the top of each pastry.
  6. Place the baking tray into the oven and allow them to bake 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  7. Remove the pastries from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve immediately with a side salad.

Have a Fun meal!
