• Ingredients:
  • 1 package (16oz) spaghetti
  • Salt and water for boiling
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8oz package of whole FunGuy white button mushrooms
  • 8 pickled banana peppers, sliced
  • 1 Portuguese chouriço sausage, sliced

Everyone loves the weekend. Nobody likes the work week madness, there’s no time for that! What if it could all be changed with a quick home cooked meal that frees up time in front of the stove so fun can be had mid-week too?

This recipe is a quick and easy way to help you achieve that FunGuy potential without depriving anyone of a good, tasty meal in the process!

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to boil on the stove and add pasta. Allow to cook 8-9 minutes or until cooked through. Drain of excess water.
  2. While the spaghetti is cooking prepare the mushrooms. Brush off any debris from the FunGuy mushrooms with a damp cloth. Pop out the stem using your thumb and discard.
  3. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over medium high heat. Add in the mushrooms and sauté 4-5 minutes or until starting to brown. Add in the sausage slices and cook until crisp on the edges. Lastly, add in the banana peppers and toss together until warmed through.
  4. Transfer the mushrooms, peppers and sausage to a bowl while leaving the left over oil from cooking in the pan. Add the spaghetti to the pan and toss with the oil to coat it with extra flavor.
  5. Plate the spaghetti and top with the mushroom, chouriço and peppers and serve immediately.

Have a Fun meal!
