• Ingredients:
  • 8oz package of whole FunGuy white button mushrooms
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 oz Gruyere cheese
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh parsley, roughly chopped

Forgot that fancy Valentine’s Day restaurant reservation for lobster and caviar again? Don’t fret! The FunGuy has you covered! Surprise your valentine with a home cooked meal that starts off with some fantastic mushroom caps sautéed in butter and garlic then stuffed with bits of gruyere melted in the middle.

Don’t worry about garlic breath either; these will be gobbled up so quick nobody will care!

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Brush off any debris from the FunGuy mushrooms with a damp cloth and trim the ends. Pop out the stems and mince them.
  2. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add in the garlic and minced mushroom stems and allow them to cook until browned; about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the rest of the butter to the pan and let it melt then add in the mushroom caps, hole side down. Cook the caps 2-3 minutes, season with salt then turn them over. Place a bit of cheese in each hole and allow the caps to cook 2 minutes. Cover the pan with a lid and cook until cheese has melted; about 1 minute.
  4. Transfer the mushrooms to a plate and spoon the garlic and minced mushroom stems on top of the mushrooms. Add fresh parsley just before serving hot.

Have a Fun meal!
