• Ingredients:
  • 8oz package of sliced FunGuy white button mushrooms
  • 1 ball of premade pizza dough
  • Flour for rolling out
  • 2 tablespoons green pesto
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Olive oil

Craving a fresh homemade pizza, but don’t want to turn the house into an oven? No worries! Just heat up the grill outside and slap this FunGuy pie on it instead.

Not only is this recipe prepared for any heat wave, it’s been kept a bit lighter with an herby pesto sauce, a ton of FunGuy mushrooms, and just the right amount of mozzarella.

So good, even the meat lovers will take a second slice!

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Prepare the grill by scraping it clean and lightly oiling the grilling grate. Heat the grill over high heat. Alternatively, preheat an indoor oven to 450F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Flour a flat surface with flour and place the pizza dough on it. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin about 1/2 inch thick circle. Brush one side of the pizza with olive oil.
  3. Once the grill is hot, lay the pizza circle directly on the grill. Allow it to grill about 3-4 minutes, checking it carefully by lifting the edges up with tongs to see if the grill marks have formed.
  4. Transfer the pizza dough to a cutting board and brush the pesto on the top side of the dough. Sprinkle half the mozzarella over the pizza, then the FunGuy mushrooms and top with the rest of the cheese. Transfer the pizza back to the grill and let it cook 5-7 minutes or until the dough is cooked, the cheese has melted and the mushrooms are tender.
  5. If cooking in an indoor oven, place the pizza on the parchment lined baking sheet and let it cook about 10 -15 minutes.
  6. Remove the pizza from the heat source and cut into slices and serve!

Have a Fun meal!
