• Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch broccolini
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 3-4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 8oz package of sliced FunGuy white button mushrooms
  • rosemary flowers (optional)

There are spring time tarts and crostatas, and then there’s the flaky French croustade!

Every inch of this full sized brunch savory pastry has been brushed with garlic infused butter, and then layered with tender broccolini spears, our earthy sliced FunGuy mushrooms, and peppered with sliced garlic.

Remember, this is good along side a quick soup or salad too!

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Rinse the broccolini and trim the ends. Peel and thinly slice the garlic. Remove the stem from the rosemary and mince the leaves. Add the sliced garlic, rosemary, garlic powder, and salt to the butter and stir to combine and set aside.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry and transfer it to the baking sheet. Brush the surface with the melted butter mixture, reserving most of the sliced garlic. Layer the pastry surface with the sliced FunGuy mushrooms and broccolini. Fold the edges of the pastry up about half an inch in to create a crust and brush it with the butter mixture. Drizzle the remaining butter over the broccolini and mushrooms; include the sliced garlic on top.
  4. Place the croustade into the oven and allow it to bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry around the edges have puffed and browned.
  5. Remove the croustade from the oven and garnish with rosemary flowers if desired. Cut and serve immediately

Have a Fun meal!
