• Ingredients:
  • 8oz package of whole FunGuy white button mushrooms
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1-2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 long rustic baguette style bread loaf
  • ¼ cup melted salted butter
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Soups, chili, and other saucy dishes are all well and good by themselves, but sometimes a little something extra really can turn a simple dish into a full FunGuy worthy meal!

One such deliciously simple extra is garlic bread, but this isn’t just any garlic bread. This recipe combines a great pairing of fresh rosemary and sharp cheddar cheese with our favorite ingredient:  mushrooms!

So while that next pot of comforting soup simmers away on the stove, don’t forget to take a few minutes to cook up this extra tasty FunGuy recipe!

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Brush off any debris from the FunGuy mushrooms with a damp cloth. Trim the stems of the mushrooms before thinly slicing them. Peel and mince the garlic cloves. Remove the stems from the rosemary and add it to the garlic and mince them together. Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and lay it on the baking sheet, cut sides up.
  3. Brush the melted butter on top of the bread, making sure to use all of the butter evenly on both halves. Top with half of the minced garlic and rosemary spread evenly over the bread, then add the mushrooms on each half, and the rest of the garlic and rosemary on top.
  4. Bake the bread in the oven, set in the middle of the oven for about  10 minutes, or until the edges start to brown lightly. Remove the bread from the oven and sprinkle the top with cheese and return the bread to the oven. Cook 2-3 more minutes or until the cheese has melted.
  5. Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool at least 5 minutes before serving.

Have a Fun meal!
