• 8oz package of whole FunGuy white button mushrooms
  • 1 sweet red bell pepper
  • ½ white onion
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, minced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Get ahead of the game and come out the champignon of the kitchen with this fresh mushroom salsa to kick off the best game day foods. From the traditional chips and nachos, to tackling some food hot off the grill, the FuyGuy has it covered, no hail Marys required.

DIRECTIONS:

Gently clean the FunGuy mushrooms with a damp paper towel. Remove stem and seeds from the pepper and peel the onion. Remove the avocado seed and scoop out the fruit from the peel.

 

Dice the mushrooms, pepper, onion and avocado on a cutting board. Transfer them to a bowl with the cilantro and jalapeño, if using. Pour lemon juice on top and season with salt and stir to combine.

Cover and allow the ingredients to marry together for at least10 minutes before serving.

This can be made a few hours in advance (it even benefits from it!).
