- Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of focaccia bread
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8oz package of sliced FunGuy white button mushrooms
- 4 thin slices of black forest ham
- 2 tablespoons minced bacon
- 1 tablespoon sliced black olives
- 3-4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives
- ¼ teaspoon chili flakes
- pinch of salt
Fancy soft bread with garlicky butter, herbs, and a sprinkling of cheese is always a perfect side for that bowl of hot soup, a crisp and refreshing salad, or along side your favorite pasta dish, but what if we made it more fun?
All that’s needed is a soft pillowy loaf of focaccia, a bit of ham and bacon, some salty parmesan cheese, and a good layer or more of our sliced button mushrooms! Just pop it in the oven while finishing tossing together that salad, soup, or pasta and you’re good to go!
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 375F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay the focaccia bread on the baking sheet and brush the top lightly with the olive oil. Lay out the ham slices and sliced FunGuy mushrooms in a couple of layers on top of the bread.
- In a bowl mix the minced bacon, parmesan cheese, chives, chili flakes, and salt until well combined. Sprinkle the mixture over the top of the focaccia, ham, and mushrooms, making sure to use all of the seasoning and distributing it evenly over the bread surface. Top with the sliced olives.
- Transfer the baking sheet with the topped focaccia to the oven to bake 8-12 minutes, or until the mushrooms and ham have browned, the cheese has melted, and the edges of the bread are soft but crunchy on the surface.
- Remove the FunGuy ham olives and mushroom topped focaccia from the oven and allow it to cool at least 5 minutes before serving.
